Objective and scope
The overall objective of this role is to support research activities within the institution by taking an active role in research works. The incumbent is expected to grow professionally through a systematic career development scheme to higher levels within the research function.
Duties and responsibilities:
I. Participate in data collection for various researches through various ways such as documentary review, interviews, administration of questionnaires etc.
II. Carry out data entry into the data base in the agreed format
III. Support coordination of training for various groups
IV. Support in preparation of various publications such newsletters
V. Updating data base of contacts for various stakeholders
VI. Cleaning up the data in the data base
VII. Participate in the preparation of data base especially in determining the structure and composition of the data base
VIII. Assist in data analysis for various research assignments, and
IX. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by his/her a supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience:
An ideal candidate for this position should have a good bachelor’s degree with proven experience in research for at least three years and should work towards attaining a good Masters Degree within a specifies period of time OR should have a good masters degree in any field from a recognized institution.
