He will support all the companies interests in Nairobi and be solely responsible for the success of the business within Kenya and the surrounding East African community.  &lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;Reporting to the general manager sitting outside of the country, the successful candidate will be responsible for:&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;ul&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;New client acquisition- he will source for potential warehousing clients by selling warehousing space and systems to them.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Managing relations with clients in and outside of the country.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Manage and develop within Kenya services offered by the group and rollout of these services to the East African community&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Managing outsourced distribution functions.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Overseeing proper management and use of in-house distribution systems.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Maintaining weekly/ monthly reports.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Managing organizational budgetary requirements as per company policy.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Ensure customer orders are delivered with proper processing &amp;amp; loadings.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Keep correct records as per company requirements.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&lt;/ul&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;Qualifications &amp;amp; Competence&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;ul&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;A degree in Business related studies Bcom / Bsc or supply chain/ logistics related field.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;A minimum of 5 -7 years warehousing/ distribution related experience or within related field such as supply chain management and logistics.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Must be highly computer literate with good presentation skills.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Must possess strong interpersonal &amp;amp; communication skills.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Must have ability to work under pressure.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Self motivated &amp;amp; have ability to work within set deadlines.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Must have ability to plan, co-ordinate &amp;amp; control activities in line with their duties.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;A strategic mindset with lateral thinking ability&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Team player with excellent communication skills.&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Ability to work independently and under minimal guidance/ supervision&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&#9;&lt;li&gt;Ability to deliver on strategic goals and action orientated individual&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&#9;&lt;/ul&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;Interested applicants wishing to look for a challenging career should send an application letter together with a copy of c.v. to ericmwangi.mwangi@gmail.com. &lt;strong&gt;Deadline for application is 7th of January 2010&lt;/strong&gt;.
